TODAY'S MEAL (The KISS Devotional) - Saturday, 9th September, 2017

TEXT: Genesis 26:19-22

"AND ISAAC'S SERVANT DIGGED IN THE VALLEY, and found there a well of springing water.

"AND THE HERDMEN OF GERAR DID STRIVE WITH ISAAC'S HERDMEN, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

"AND THEY DIGGED ANOTHER WELL, AND STROVE FOR THAT ALSO: and he called the name of it Sitnah.

"AND HE REMOVED FROM THENCE, AND DIGGED ANOTHER WELL; AND FOR THAT THEY STROVE NOT: AND HE CALLED THE NAME OF IT REHOBOTH; AND HE SAID, FOR NOW THE LORD HATH MADE ROOM FOR US, AND WE SHALL BE FRUITFUL IN THE LAND."

INSIGHT: Sometimes, opposition comes to position you in the right place for your miracle.

ACTION: See every opposition as a vehicle to your God-given position.

PRAYER: I declare that every opposition I encounter, instead of destroying me, will be a stepping stone to my God-given position, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TEXT: Judges 11:7-8

“7 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?

"8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead." (KJV)
 
INSIGHT: Even if men REJECT you, God can PROJECT you.

ACTION POINT: Don't be discouraged.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank you for giving me the assurance that you are EVER there for me. I refuse to be discouraged by ANYONE or ANY SITUATION. So help me, God, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TODAY’S MEAL (The KISS Devotional) – Wednesday, 19th December, 2012.

TEXT: James 5:17-18

“17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

INSIGHT: With prayer, ONE MAN can impact (affect) the WHOLE WORLD.

ACTION POINT: Pray!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as I pray NOW, I receive the garment of prayer, in Jesus' name. Amen.

TODAY’S MEAL (The KISS Devotional) – Tuesday, 18th December, 2012.

TEXT: 1Corinthians 14:4-5

“4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 

"5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. " (KJV)
 
INSIGHT: In the sight of God, service to others is greater than self-service.

ACTION POINT: Seek to serve others more than yourself alone.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive from you TODAY a heart of selfless sacrifice. I promise to help others with my resources - spiritual, financial, material and potential. So help me God, in Jesus' name. Amen.

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

INSIGHT:                  To get to your God-ordained place (destiny), you need to disconnect from some people, places, practices and experiences.

ACTION POINT:     Disconnect from every setback – person, place, practice or experience.

PRAYER:                  In the name of Jesus, I disconnect from whatever constitutes a setback to me in my pursuit of destiny. Amen.

“And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.” (KJV)

INSIGHT:                  God takes issues affecting His children personal.

ACTION POINT:     Walk with the consciousness of divine privilege.

PRAYER:                  Dear Lord, I thank you for holding me so dear to your heart. I declare that “I am the King’s kid,” and, henceforth, I walk in the consciousness of this reality, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TODAY’S MEAL (The KISS Devotional) – Monday, 29th October, 2012.

TEXT:                        Ephesians 6:2-3

“Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

“That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.” (KJV)

INSIGHT:                  Respect for one’s parents (and giving to them) positions one for prosperity and longevity (long life).

ACTION POINT:     Hold your parents (biological or surrogate) in high esteem, and always give to them (money, attention, happiness, and, indeed, everything worth giving).

PRAYER:                  Heavenly Father, I appreciate you for those you gave to me as parents. Please make me a blessing to them, even as I vow to demonstrate this gratitude by holding them in high esteem and giving to them all they need within the confines of my resources. I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
